Two new cottages on a Victorian railway station. Converted from the downline waiting rooms into very spacious accomodation. Set in 2 acres of land there is lots of room to enjoy the local countryside in peace and quiet whilst only a few miles from the bustling towns of East Sussex.
Barcombe Mills Station is set on the river Ouse with outstanding views of the South downs with it's rolling countryside. The last train ran through the station in 1969, but the spirit lives on. Within a largely farming community Barcombe Mills is a Hamlet of outstanding beauty, with superb walks along the river banks and footpaths that crisscross the area. Barcombe Mills is the end of the tidal strech of the river Ouse. During the summer Sea trout can be seen jumping in the river. Fish ladders have been biult at various water falls to aid the fish to there spawning grounds.
